St Nicholas Monemvasia produces Greek extra virgin olive oil on a single family estate near Monemvasia, in the southern Peloponnese — the same land, farmed by the same families, for six centuries. Every bottle is cold-extracted below 27°C within hours of harvest, then bottled at source in Laconia before travelling directly to our shop in Kensington.

Our oils are classified extra virgin at 0.2% acidity — well below the legal 0.8% threshold — and polyphenol levels above 400 mg/kg. High-polyphenol olive oil is not just flavour; a daily 20 ml intake of oil with at least 250 mg/kg of polyphenols carries an approved EU health claim for protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress.
